Perfect Quinoa
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa
- 1½ cup water
- knob of butter
- salt
- olive oil
Instructions
- To a pot, add butter. Toast quinoa in butter for about 3 min.
- Add water, sprinkle of salt, and a swirl of EVOO
- Bring pot to a boil
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and leave for 15 min.
- Fluff with a fork, remove from the heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.

I wondered if I should even post this recipe because it really is a pretty basic thing and not full of fancy frills. But sometimes, even the basic things are not well known. It took me a really long time to learn how to make the perfect rice and quinoa fell under that same category.
To be honest, I do not find quinoa to be the tastiest but it is sometimes a healthier choice.
