sofrito in italian is just carrots, celery, and onion aka the holy trinity, but the spanish version of sofrito is jam packed with flavor that add so much seasoning to everything. My friend Laura made me some and when I ran out I decided to try and see what worked for me. Sofrito is one of those things that everyones recipe will vary because you should use what works for YOU. I add @knorr chicken bouillon, dominican oregano, cumin, salt and some sour orange because those are the most common flavors I put in a lot of my food, and if that isnt your cup of tea babes, omit! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
